I really don't like checking the turn. Why not make a solid bet that gives yourself a good price to hit one of your 15 clean outs? If you get raised, you can jam the turn without getting much the worst of it, or take the pot down without having to get there if you can induce a fold. Otherwise, if you get called, you can plan on either firing a 3rd barrel unimproved on the river (with you usual table image, you should be getting a lot of respect and your hand will look very strong), or you can just give up at the end with a check and lose the minimum.

15 outs to a probable winner (unless he has AcKc), but you would rather hit your straight than your flush, for implied odds reasons.

Hard for a pair to pay off a big bet with 3 clubs on the board - more chance of winning a big pot on a board of 2 7 5 K 3 with no flush.

Leading the turn looks good, unless he puts you on medium PP and decides to raise you now with his TP. Most players would just call, though, especially in a limped pot where he's worried about his kicker (KQ/KJ/KT).

I don't mind checking the turn for pot control. You want to see the river and if you raise, he might blow you off your hand.

As it is, this is an easy call. Don't do anything else, just call. You're in good shape, so don't get frisky.

I disagree with Mojo completely. Your draw is so strong that you *cannot* be blown off your hand. The only hand you truly fear is a bigger flush draw which taints half of your outs. Even then, you might be able to win with a mere one pair, which gives you back six wins if you pair up. I like smallball poker a whole lot, but even I would play this hand fast. I would hate to have to fold unimproved on the river, so I would much rather apply maximum pressure on the turn.

Once you see this flop, you should be committed. You have your opponent well covered. Lead the turn with the intention of 3-betting. As played, I hope you check-raised your opponent for all his chips.

Shrike usually gives good advice, but I'm not so sure about this one.

The reason I don't want to play a big pot yet is that I'm in such good shape in the tournament (not this hand) with 10K. The last think I want to do it have my stack crushed on a draw. Let's play to win the tournament, not win this particular hand.

Even if I have 15 outs (probably, but not certainly), I'm only ~30% or so to improve with one card to come. If you are going to bet big, the flop was the time. There you were 54% (because you'll have two chances to make your hand).

Turns out he DID have the King and my draw did not get there on the river. Just FYI. But I dont think that matters much. It's more about deciding now if you are going to call here or not.
