Imaginary Hand

Lets say you are at a relatively typical 1-2 or 2-5 table and the UTG makes it 3x and the UTG+1 makes it 9x BB. Folds around to you on the button with JJ.

Easy fold? (I think so)

With UTG still to act, I probably fold, unless I know something unusual about the two players.

For example, if I know UTG is loose, and likes to play lots of hands postflop, AND stacks are very deep, you might be able to call and hope to flop a set, and fold if you miss.

But most of the time, I'm with you - fold.

I am calling if UTG + 1 is 100 BBs deep and UTG is shallow enough not to raise or is lagtard.

DING! (or if in Japan, BING-BONG!)
My full answer (which I contemplated in the shower yesterday) matches Bayne's exactly.

I would fold this in all but the deepest of situations Without thinking.

Agree with Bayne. Other option if UTG+1 has been isoing UTG crazy fish, a big raise (if you have tight image) might get them both to lay down, as a blind raise after a r/rr shows some pretty good strength, and getting flatted isn't the worst thing that could happen. Good to know shoving ranges in that sitch if one of them goes in. Not something I'd do very often tho...

Btw I would fold QQ in a heartbeat in this spot too unless we were very deep.
